The Brief

P. R. King & Sons were thrilled to be involved with the refurbishment of one of Central Queensland’s most exciting building and renovation projects.

Built in the 1880s and once a former merchant building, the heritage-listed Headricks Building is now home to Headricks Lane, one of the region’s hottest hubs for dining, drinking and entertainment.

P. R. King & Sons were brought in during the construction phase in 2016 to supply and install a new vertical lift for the venue.

What makes Headricks Lane so unique is its spectacular interiors, which juxtaposes raw materials with bespoke finishes and modern luxury. Because of this, we knew it was important to deliver a lift that complemented the building’s stunning aesthetics that seamlessly blend the old and new.

The solution? The European-designed Symbio Vertical lift. The customer opted for a full glass enclosure and black frame, which works perfectly with the venue’s exposed brick walls, polished concrete floors, exposed ceiling, and timber finishes.
